Enchantment

Springtime in California is always a special time for me because I love to see the almond trees in bloom.  This visit, my attention was attracted to the stoic appearance of this huge old almond tree.  There was something so enchanting about it that I felt compelled to photograph it.  I felt like it was solid and grounded, as though it was in control of the almond groves, carrying all the secrets surrounding it.  Hence my title for this image is “Enchantment.”
